Barry S. Kraushaar, MD
Background and Education
Dr. Barry Kraushaar grew up in Rockland County. He attended Colgate University and went on to Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and his residency in orthopedic surgery at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital - a subdivision of Albert Einstein College of Medicine.Dr. Kraushaar had sub-specialty training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at Arlington Hospital / Georgetown University. He has published numerous articles on Sports Medicine and routinely lectures on related topics. He wrote a chapter in a book called "Running Medicine". He is listed in the Castle Connolly Guide to the Best Doctors in New York.

Dr. Kraushaar has worked with team doctors for the New York Jets, the New York Rangers, the Washington Redskins, the Washington Wizards, and professional tennis players. He was team doctor for George Mason University in 1996. He has been the team doctor for St. Joseph's Regional High School since 1996 and is also team physician and an assistant professor at Dominican College.
Professional Career
Dr. Kraushaar began practice in 1996. He founded Advanced Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in 1999. Dr. Kraushaar treats patients of all ages and specializes in joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery and sports injuries to the shoulder, elbow and knee.

Dr. Kraushaar has published articles in several prestigious journals of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
